Sorry I totally went MIA. Now the added pressure to perform is TOO GREAT. Soooooooo I’m going to pretend this is, like, 2006 or 9 and just do whatever.

In fact, here is the format…an INCOMPLETE SUMMARY of What is Up.

EVENT:
We went on a vacation to the North Shore.
OUTCOME:
HUGE success. Chilly but wonderful. Loved spending alldayeveryday with Just Jeff. OBSESSED (sorry, I know that scares him…ha ha ha!).

EVENT:
I got a terrible cold.
OUTCOME:
It seems to be subsiding, BUT it really kicked my butt for a few days and left me unable to update.

EVENT:
We are doing some cool projects at work.
OUTCOME:
I am working on them…and not updating. So. There is that. That is good.

EVENT:
My favorite coworker had her baby.
OUTCOME:
She is filled with joy and her baby is adorable, and HUGE CONGRATS/yay to her; however, SELFISHLY that means I (a) am missing chatting with my fave coworker and (b) have a bit of work to pick up. Eh WCYD it’s fine.

EVENT:
Jeff got me a Kindle.
OUTCOME:
I am way way into it and will probably put us in the poorhouse by buying books (so easy! so fun!). The ‘read a chapter then buy’ thing is addicting. THANKS JEFF!

EVENT:
I got a lot of really cool other birthday presents.
OUTCOME:
I am SO SUPER SPOILED!!! Thank you family and friends :).

EVENT:
One of these was an electric toothbrush!!!!! (yes I am super excited about this!) Thank You Parents!
OUTCOME:
I used it for the first time today. REALLY AWESOME!

EVENT:
I went to Madison last weekend to celebrate birthdays (mine/my Dad’s).
OUTCOME:
Very fun! Including a great homemade meal by my mom and a night out at Quivey’s for Oktoberfeast (for my Dad, I just had fish).

EVENT:
Madison got a lot of rain.
OUTCOME:
I had forgotten what rain was like…

EVENT:
Our garbage disposal broke.
OUTCOME:
We tried very hard to replace this right before our vacation, leading to a day without power/heat(unrelated) and me drawing my candlelight, LEADING TO us turning the heat on EARLY…dang it! but I was so cold…..

EVENT:
Smashing Pumpkins concert this weekend.
OUTCOME:

Andrea found out she is an INTJ!
OUTCOME:
Very cool. I feel this explains so much.

EVENT:
VP debate
OUTCOME:
Biden is still really cool…even if neither of them mentioned the whole ‘separation of church and state’ thing, come ON people!

EVENT:
dinner with Sarah L for birthday/catchup
OUTCOME:
She is in Love with her new phone (as she should be!) and she/Jeff/I are in LOVE with Tavern on France.

EVENT:
Another shoutout to our amazing trip to the North Shore/hanging out/Gooseberry Falls/the TWO rainbows we saw/reading outside/etc.!
OUTCOME:
LOVE!

EVENT:
I finished a really good book that was written from a dog’s point of view (no seriously) and set in Seattle and about racing (sort of) (so, things I don’t really care about, but I LOVED the book) -The Art of Racing In The Rain.
OUTCOME:
It was lovely. You should read it. Thank you Jeff! (this was a real book, pre-Kindle)

EVENT:
Halloween
OUTCOME:
TBD. I need a costume.

EVENT:
It got really cold.
OUTCOME:
Garden is done. Fall seems oddly chilly.

Well OK that is all I’ve got for now. Let’s just be happy I did something, dang it! Now off to do many more somethings…busybusy bee. Happy October!

ETA: So this entry is not a complete waste, here is a nice little blog entry by Jennifer Sey (former elite gymnast) about privacy/public-ness/etc that I really appreciate.

Also they are re-showing the Olympics tonight (gymnastics)! WATCH!
